Dear all,

Over the past few months, we carried out a county-wide consultation to help shape the next phase of Middlesex Junior Squash (MJS). We gathered insights from coaches, parents, club leaders, former county chairs, and partners from other counties all with the aim of understanding how we can continue to strengthen junior squash across Middlesex.

The feedback was clear and encouraging: our foundations are strong, our community is committed, and the experiences we offer to young players are valued. At the same time, you highlighted opportunities for us to communicate even more, collaborate closely with clubs and coaches, and offer additional support to clubs that are still building or rebuilding their junior programmes.

Please know: we have listened.

As we look to 2026, we will be making incremental, sensible improvements - not sweeping changes. Our focus is to build on what already works well by:

  • Strengthening player development opportunities,
  • Supporting struggling and emerging clubs,
  • Improving collaboration across the county,
  • Continuing to develop performance pathways, and
  • Communicating with you consistently.

And through all of this, our guiding mission remains the same: to enable more kids to play more squash, in more clubs, more often.

We are a small volunteer-led team, so some steps will take time, but we are committed to steady progress and to keeping you updated as we move forward.

Thank you for being part of the Middlesex squash community and for everything you do to support young players.

Warm regards,

Your Middlesex Junior Squash Committee
